Seasonal Posture
December 13, 2007
With all the shopping, cooking, travel and parties, the holidays can leave you stressed and exhausted. But how we stand up to the challenges of the season can bring us tidings of great comfort and joy. Dr. Mom has more.
If we have heard it once, we have heard it a thousand times. And, if you are a parent you are probably using the same words your parents said – "Stand up straight!" Good posture is important at all times, but especially during the holidays when everyone is busy shopping, cooking, and attending parties.
Poor posture increases fatigue and the likelihood of aches and pains. Good posture can help relieve backaches and neck aches, give you more energy, and make breathing easier. Good posture has healthy benefits by keeping the body’s internal organs functioning properly, and joints lubricated. Good posture also makes one look taller and thinner!
