The word "campus" best describes the 600 wooded acres we call UT Health Northeast. A supportive collegial atmosphere helps to unite physicians, researchers, nurses, students and other professional staff in achieving the common goal of serving community health needs through quality education. The hospital’s 200 beds provide inpatient training in Family Practice, Internal Medicine and Surgery.
Our Residents also have the opportunity to broaden their scope of learning by way of rotations through the obstetrical and pediatric services and the optional longitudinal obstetrics program at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital (below, right) as well as the Level 1 Trauma Center at East Texas Medical Center (below, left). These core and elective rotations near downtown Tyler expand the program’s total teaching beds to nearly 1,000.
