Free tobacco cessation evening classes offered at UTHCT Southpark Diagnostic Clinic

It’s never too late to start living a tobacco-free life. The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler is offering a free tobacco cessation program beginning Wednesday, March 8, at the UTHSCT Southpark Diagnostic Clinic, 2020 Lindbergh in Tyler.

The sessions are led by professionals from UT Health Science Center. They are held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. The dates of the four sessions are March 8, 15, 22, and 29. The program consists of respected and proven tobacco-cessation materials, along with counseling and program assistance. Participants will learn behavioral therapy techniques that help replace tobacco “triggers” with healthier habits that will last a lifetime.
