UT Tyler nursing professor to speak at May 10 luncheon during Nurses Week celebration at UT Health Center

K. Lynn Wieck, Ph.D., is the keynote speaker at the Nurses Week Celebration Luncheon to be held Wednesday, May 10, in Hudnall Auditorium at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, 11937 U.S. Highway 271 in Tyler.

Dr. Wieck will present “It’s Great to Be a Nurse!” as part of the commemoration of National Nurses Week, May 6-12, said Kleanthe Caruso, RN, MSN, vice president for Patient Care Operations and chief nursing officer at UT Health Science Center. Dr. Wieck is the Jacqueline M. Braithwaite Professor in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at The University of Texas at Tyler.

All nurses in the Tyler area are invited to one of the luncheon’s two sessions, Caruso said. The first session is from 11 a.m. until 11:50 a.m.; the second is from noon to 12:50 p.m. The deadline to register for either session is 5 p.m. Monday, May 8.
