New UTHCT board certified cardiologist now seeing patients in Gilmer

James J. Galizia, MD, an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, is now seeing patients in Gilmer.

Dr. Galizia is a board-certified cardiologist with University Physician Associates and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel diseases. UPA is a physician practice associated with UT Health Science Center and has been providing cardiology services in Gilmer since March.

Dr. Galizia, who joined UT Health Science Center earlier this year, is also board certified in internal medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He sees patients from 9 a.m. to noon each Thursday at 711 N. Titus in Gilmer. Diagnostic tests available in Gilmer include EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress testing.
