Board certified UTHCT cardiologist now seeing patients at Laird Memorial Hospital in Kilgore

James J. Galizia, MD, an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, is now seeing patients at Laird Memorial Hospital, 1612 S. Henderson Blvd. in Kilgore.

Dr. Galizia is a board-certified cardiologist with University Physician Associates and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel diseases. UPA is a physician practice associated with UT Health Science Center. Dr. Galizia is also board certified in internal medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Galizia sees patients who have been referred to him by their primary care doctors. In addition, individuals seeking a cardiology consultation may call and make their own appointment. Dr. Galizia is available from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. each Wednesday at Laird Memorial Hospital in Kilgore.

In addition, David B. Coultas, MD, chairman of UTHSCT’s Department of Medicine and a specialist in diseases that affect the lungs, sees patients from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Wednesday at the Kilgore hospital. Board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease, Dr. Coultas specializes in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, and occupational lung disease. Dr. Coultas, a pulmonologist, also is affiliated with UPA.
