WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the committee has approved the Fiscal Year 2009 Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations bill, which includes $250,000 that Sen. Hutchison secured for the Texas Lung Injury Institute Translational Medicine Initiative at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler.

The bill is now ready to be considered by the full Senate.
