Family medicine physician joins UT Physicians of Gladewater

Family medicine physician Wyn Andrews, MD, has joined UT Physicians of Gladewater. UTP is a physician practice associated with The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. Dr. Andrews also will be an assistant professor of family medicine at UTHSCT.
Dr. Andrews is board certified in family medicine and is certified in basic life support, advanced life support, and advanced trauma life support. He comes to UTHSCT after providing direct patient care in the emergency rooms of regional and community hospitals in the Houston area.
He was a principal investigator for pharmaceutical research studies while working for PPD Development in Austin, a pharmaceutical research firm with offices around the world.
Dr. Andrews also has spent more than a decade practicing family medicine and has served as an associate director of a family medicine residency program in Austin.
In 2003, he received the Good Clinical Practice Award from the Pharmaceutical Research Foundation in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
He completed his family medicine residency at the Corpus Christi Family Medicine Residency Program.
He received his medical degree from Texas A&M University Health Science Center in College Station.
