UT Physicians of Overton moves to new home

UT Physicians of Overton has moved to a larger clinic space at 102 W. Henderson St. in Overton.

The clinic, formerly know as Overton Family Practice Center, is affiliated with The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler.

“The upgrade of the clinic is the next big step we have taken to improve the quality of health care for the Overton community. We could not have done this without the dedicated support of our patients. This clinic is for them,” said Leo Holm, MD, the primary care physician at the clinic.

The new clinic has more than 3,200 square feet, with five exam rooms and two procedure rooms.

The previous clinic had just two exam rooms and one procedure room.

“With this larger clinic, we will have the room to continue to grow in this location for many years to come,” Dr. Holm said.

UTHSCT Chief Operating Officer Rob Marshall said, “Dr. Holm’s patients will have more room, easier access to the building, more parking, and an updated atmosphere.”

At this time, no staff increases or new equipment purchases are planned for the clinic, Marshall said.

For 60 years, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler has provided excellent patient care and cutting-edge treatments, specializing in pulmonary disease, cancer, heart disease, primary care, and the disciplines that support them. With an operating budget of more than $125 million and biomedical research funding that exceeds $12 million annually, UTHSCT has a major economic impact on East Texas. Its two medical residency programs – in family medicine and occupational medicine – provide doctors for many communities in East Texas and beyond.
