UTHSCT employee achieves certified Texas purchasing manager status

Cheryl Bray, a buyer III in the Purchasing Department at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, has achieved her certified Texas purchasing manager designation.
Bray, who joined UTHSCT in 2007, recently obtained the certified Texas purchasing manager designation.
To achieve this, Bray was required to have a minimum of three years of purchasing experience, complete all required coursework, and pass a certification exam with a score of at least 70. She scored in the 90s.
This certification allows Bray to purchase items worth more than $100,000 on behalf of the state of Texas.
