If you find yourself frequently taking antacids to control your heartburn, you could have acid reflux disease.

Find out by attending “Are You an Antacid Pill Popper?” a free seminar from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Friday Sept. 18, at the Gardens of Gladewater Community Building, 108 Lee St., in Gladewater.

The seminar is sponsored by Wyn Andrews, MD, and UT Physicians of Gladewater.

UTP is a physician practice associated with The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler.

Dr. Andrews will discuss acid reflux disease and how, if untreated, it can lead to cancer of the esophagus. He also will talk about treatments for acid reflux.

Dr. Andrews is board certified in family medicine.

The health education seminar is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required. Refreshments will be provided.
