UT Health Science Center to host ‘An Evening of Elegance’ on May 20 to raise funds for new Academic Center

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler will host an “Evening of Elegance” featuring the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber on Thursday, May 20, at Harvey Convention Center, 2000 W. Front St. in Tyler.
The evening of fine dining and superb entertainment will begin with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a Broadway revue produced and conducted by
The revue, which will start at 8 p.m., includes selections from the musicals “Cats,” “Evita,” and “Phantom of the Opera” performed by the four vocalists and four dancers of the 14-piece Galaxy Orchestra of St. Louis.
Dress is black tie for the gala event. Tickets are $250 each, and go on sale April 12. Seating is limited.
Proceeds from the event will benefit UTHSCT’s Academic Center, which is scheduled to be completed in fall 2011.

For 60 years, The University of Texas Health Science Center has provided excellent patient care and cutting-edge treatment, specializing in pulmonary disease, cancer, heart disease, primary care, and the disciplines that support them.
