UTHSCT pharmacists will review patients’ medications at free event scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 16

Friday, November 11, 2011

Are you taking prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, herbal supplements, or a combination of these? Would you like to know more about how these drugs and supplements affect you?

Pharmacists at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler will be available to review all your medications from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, on the first floor of The Riter Center on the UTHSCT campus, 11937 U.S. Highway 271 in Tyler.

During this free “Medication Brown Bag Review,” UTHSCT pharmacists will be available for one-on-one consultations about your medications. You will have the opportunity to ask about potential drug interactions, dosing inaccuracies, duplications of medications, and possible side effects.

You may bring the actual medications you take or a list of all your medications. In addition, please bring information about the over-the-counter drugs, herbal remedies, and vitamin and nutrient supplements that you take.
