About the Family Medicine Clinic

Our Mission:
Family Medicine is one of the few specialities whose services transcend all ages. We are the only Family Medicine Residency Program in East Texas. Our shared effort with caring brings about excellence. We believe in Patient First - a coordinated and collaborative effort between medical, nursing, and clerical services to provide the best quality care to our patients with an emphasis on caring.

Our Services:
We provide a wide variety of services to include Family Medicine, Adolescent Medicine, Travel Medicine, Aviation Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Geriatric Medicine.

Referrals:
If you need a referral to another physician, please call us as soon as possible to arrange the referral. Referrals are made at the discretion of the physician and cannot be issued without prior consultation with your physician.

Many insurance companies require pre-approval for referral visits. Please be sure to check with your insurance company prior to your visit.

Insurance and Fees:
UTHSCT accepts most major health insurance plans. Please check with your insurance provider to see if our physicians are included in your plan. All co-payments and deductibles must be paid at the time of the service. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
