5th Floor Medical/Surgical & Telemetry
Pediatric to older adults are provided Telemetry, Oncology, Medical and Surgical care. A plan of care is developed after an initial assessment upon admission, and reassessments are conducted throughout the patient’s stay.

Tuberculosis patients are ususally here for simple medication management of TB medications. Nurses monitor medication intake through Direct Observation Treatment. Many patients have additional ailments, i.e. AIDS, Hepatitis, drug dependency, that require additional care and monitoring.
Hospice
Hospice patients receive pain and symptom management, and may include IV pain medications, which required more complex monitoring. In addition, the patient’s family receives attention as they go through the grieving process, which can require nursing intervention.
