Compensation Policies & Practices
Responsible for the administration of UTHSCT’s compensation program, the Compensation department’s duties include developing the compensation pay plan; approving all personnel actions; reviewing job descriptions; conducting and analyzing salary surveys; designing and maintaining on-line job specifications; developing strategies and working plans for specific compensation functions to meet departmental and Health Science Center objectives; and consulting with departments on compensation issues.
The Compensation Plan contains the Health Science Center’s compensation philosophy, federal compliance requirements, the rationale and elements of the compensation program, definitions, job codes and titles, salary ranges and information on compensation related to policies and practices.
These guidelines have been designated to ensure consistent and equitable salary administration practices throughout the Health Science Center. When necessary, these guidelines may be changed to meet individual or business needs with management’s approval.
