Value Analysis
Welcome to the Value Analysis Program (VAP) at UTHSCT
The Value Analysis Program at UTHSCT provides a systematic assessment/approval process for the evaluation and acquisition of products, equipment and clinical technology that is reviewed at all levels within the Hospitals and Clinics.
The objective of the UTHSCT Value Analysis Program is to continually seek opportunities to reduce costs and improve performance through the cost-effective selection & standardization of products, equipment, clinical technology and related processes, while maintaining or improving the quality of care provided to our patients.
University HealthSystems Consortium (UHC)
UHC, formed in 1984, is an alliance of academic health centers situated mainly in the United States. UTHSCT has been an active member of UHC for many years, participating on various councils and in benchmarking programs. UHC provides its members (over 200) with a variety of helpful resources aimed at improving performance levels in clinical, operational, and financial areas.
The mission of UHC is to advance knowledge, foster collaboration, and promote change to help members succeed in their respective markets.
