Pediatric Grand Rounds is an educational forum on pediatric issues for physicians, nurses, and allied health care professionals and is a cooperative effort between East Texas Medical Center, Christus Trinity Mother Frances and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. This one hour program is generally held the 3rd Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon. A complimentary light luncheon is served. The location rotates between the three hospitals.

Child Sexual Abuse: Differential Diagnosis, Screening and Assessment
Speaker: Jeffrey Wherry, PhD
Location: The Pavilion
Dr. Wherry, Diplomate in Clinical Psychology, ABPP, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, will discuss the obstacles to the assessment of child sexual abuse; recognize the signs of possible child physical, emotional and sexual abuse or neglect; and outline indicators that provide objective support to a diagnosis of suspected abuse.
