Biography

Dr. Ledlow is Dean of the School of Community and Rural Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center Tyler and former chair and a member of the MD Anderson Cancer Center – UT Health East Texas System Quality and Metrics Group. He is a professor in the Healthcare Policy, Economics and Management Department. He is married, for over 27 years, to his wonderful wife Silke and is the father to three daughters of ages 23, 20 and 17.

Dr. Ledlow is a board-certified healthcare administrator with over 33 years of practical and academic experience in leadership and management positions; his experience includes over eleven years in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps, nearly three years in corporate healthcare and nearly twenty years in academia. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has successfully led teams of professionals, in military, corporate, educational and academic programs. He has experience in program planning and implementation, health system re-engineering, and innovation of efficient, effective and efficacious systems.

He has co-authored nine volumes of texts/books, including a nationally recognized textbook on healthcare leadership. Dr. Ledlow is the developer of the Dynamic Culture Leadership Model, the Inter-professional Team Model called PAARP, the Strategic Relationship Assessment Model called CAAVE with an assessment instrument called the CaT© used by the VestedWay Outsourcing Group™, and the Emergency Preparedness Assessment System called the GREaT© System.
