Dr. Philip Pippin is an Associate Program Director for the UTHSCT Family Medicine Residency Program and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine.

He grew up in Waco, TX, graduated from the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2010, completed medical school at UTMB in 2014, and moved to Tyler to complete residency where he was chief resident and transitioned immediately to faculty upon graduation in 2017.

He practices general inpatient and outpatient family medicine with a particular interest in hypertension. Academically he is interested in medical ethics, shared decision making, and medical student education.

He and his lovely wife, Emmie, are active parents of three small children.
