Leo Holm, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UT Health East Texas in Tyler and the Clinic Director of the UT Health Overton clinic for over 18 years. During that time, he has been a Clinical Instructor for the UT Health East Texas Family Medicine Residency Program, supervising the Rural Rotation.

Over the last several years, Dr. Holm has developed and continues to administer the Practice Management Curriculum for the Family Medicine residents. In 2018, he was granted the position of Chief Medical Informatics Officer for the UT Health East Texas North Campus. He is currently Ex Officio Chair of the Faculty Senate and served on the Faculty Advisory Council to UT Systems.

In 2016, Dr. Holm began work as a Principle Investigator in coordination with The UT Health Northeast MD Anderson Cancer Center to develop a Cancer Survivorship program. With funding from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), he organized the Cancer Survivorship pathway for transitions of care into the Family Medicine Department. Dr. Holm was also instrumental in developing the telemedicine platform for the North Campus with efforts underway to develop and expand this service.
