Tyler is originally from Rowlett, Texas and received his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin for microbiology and infectious disease. After medical school in Fort Worth, he decided to stay close to home and train in Tyler, Texas.

His areas of interest include colorectal or acute care surgery. In his free time, he enjoys hiking with his dog, working out and being outdoors.
