Mary Claire was born and raised in the small city of New Iberia in South Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a degree in Biology. She remained loyal to her alma mater, receiving her medical education at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She is particularly interested in outpatient care, obstetrics, dermatology, and emergency medicine. She plans to return to Cajun Country to provide comprehensive care to the region’s underserved population.

In her leisure time, she enjoys experimenting in her kitchen, gardening, hiking, spending time with her family, and spoiling her dog.
