Why UT Athens? I was involved in the rural program at TCOM and loved my family medicine rotation in Olney, Texas so much that I decided rural family was the path for me. Athens offered me everything I was looking for: rural, unopposed, full spectrum, and lots of opportunities to get involved in the community. Also, the opportunities in OB are great, which was a big part of why I wanted to come here. Athens, although rural, is not too far from Dallas, so you still have the chance to enjoy the big city in your free time.

Career Goals: I plan to practice in a rural setting in Texas and be a full spectrum family physician with emphasis on women’s health and OB.
