John was born in raised in Monroe, Louisiana and has lived in Arkansas for the past decade while attending undergraduate at Ouachita Baptist University and medical school at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Smith. He spends most of his free time exercising with his two black mouth cur dogs and enjoys anything outdoors—especially soccer, disk golf, and ultimate frisbee.
