Achsah was born and raised in Kerala, India. She completed medical school at Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center, India. Her passion for serving medically underserved people motivated her to work as a medical officer in a rural hospital at the India-Nepal border for two years. When she moved to the U.S. to be with her family, the opportunity to serve a diverse patient population with a wide range of pathology in beautiful East Texas made her fall in love with the residency program. She is focused on becoming an excellent physician, and she appreciates the opportunities she has received in the program. She loves the camaraderie among the residents and has received incredible support from the faculty and program leadership.
