Hareem was born in Houston and raised in Sugar Land, Texas. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in biology, and a certificate in the business foundation program. She then went on to attend medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She is currently grateful to be a part of the Health Science Center at UT Tyler’s Internal Medicine residency program because she enjoys training alongside colleagues and teachers who are very knowledgeable, in a supportive environment that fosters her growth. Hareem enjoys Tyler because although it has a small-town feel, you have everything you need close by – from tire shops to if you’re running low on beauty products. Outside of work, you can find Hareem sun basking and enjoying Tyler’s lush greenery, checking out the many interesting local businesses, or winding down at home watching a sitcom (probably a re-run of the Office).
