What I like most about UTHCT:

Trees! As someone from the dry, open plains of West Texas, the lush, rolling landscapes of East Texas are a refreshing change. The program is young - especially the new Rural Psychiatry program - and there is an exciting atmosphere of development, collaboration, and new ideas. It seems that there are many opportunities for leadership and personalized training here.

Professional Interests:

I hope to gain experience exploring the interactions between psychiatry and religion/spirituality, substance use/addiction, and society/culture.

Hobbies:

Working puzzles, cooking, whistling, wandering around and exploring new places.
