Kovic was born in Provo, Utah but calls rural Ephraim, Utah his home. He completed his undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition from Southern Utah University. He graduated medical school at Rocky Vista College of Osteopathic Medicine - Southern Utah. His areas of interest within medicine include sports medicine, outpatient procedures, and pediatrics.

Outside of medicine he loves spending time with his wife and two daughters, watching sports, playing disc golf, and watching new shows. He plans to settle down with his family and practice medicine in a rural community.
