Shelby was born and raised in Austin, TX, and is a proud native Texan. She received her Bachelors of Science from Trinity University in San Antonio in 2017. She graduated medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, concomitantly achieving a dual MBA degree through the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She is very passionate about Direct Primary Care and is interested in starting or joining a practice after residency, perhaps with a focus on obesity and/or lifestyle medicine.

At home, she is happily married to her Star Wars-loving husband and enjoys spending time with him and their goldendoodle Abby. Shelby is an avid coffee lover, likes exploring parks and trying new foods, is actively involved in church activities, and is excited to call Tyler her new home.
