Why UT Athens? When it came to finding the right residency program, a family-friendly environment was a must! On interview day, everyone showed so much support for my pursuits as a mom in medicine. I felt that the faculty here really valued that about me. I also felt strongly about training in a place that was unopposed where I could do more and see more. The extensive inpatient and obstetrics training here in Athens exposes you to all aspects of family medicine and will prepare you for however you want to practice as a family physician.

Career Goals: My goal is to practice as a full-scope rural family physician with a focus on caring for women and children. I also plan to pursue and practice integrative medicine.
