Jesus Flores Banda was born and raised in Mexico. He completed medical school at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi. He emigrated to the United States to be close to his family. Dallas Tx has been his second home, where part of his family lives. He is planning on continuing his education in the oncology field.

He wanted to be part of the internal medicine program at UT Tyler because it is a fast-growing program with excellent learning opportunities, opportunities to serve a diverse patient population, camaraderie, and life balance. He also wanted to be in beautiful East Texas to enjoy the green areas and parks and have a more peaceful way of life.

He is a methodical runner, and during his free time, he enjoys running at Rose Rudman Park early in the morning.
