Swayamdipto Misra grew up in Augusta, Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in Genetics and Biology. Sway received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Sway was drawn to the residency program due to the comradery amongst residents as well as supportive academic environment. He is interested in hospital medicine and hopes to practice in the southeast region of the United States after residency.

Outside of medicine, he is a huge sports fan (Go Dawgs, Pels, Saints, and Braves!) and enjoys going to concerts, traveling, golf, and hanging out with his fellow residents.
