Diabetes Prevention Workshop Series

Small changes make a big difference. Making modest changes to your diet and activity level can have a significant impact on your health. Losing just 5 to 7% of your body weight (10 to 14 pounds for a 200-pound person) has been proven to decrease the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by 58%.
The Prevent T2 program is a DSHS grant funded 12-month program designed to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes.
If you or someone you know are prediabetic (fasting blood sugar of 100 to 125 mg/dL) or are at high risk for developing Type 2 diabetes (family history of diabetes, overweight, inactive, etc.), please contact the Lifestyle Change Program at or call 903-877-1436 for more information about this FREE workshop.
No physician referral is needed. Classes are offered in-person at UT North campus and/or virtually beginning Monday, 2/21/22, at 5:30 p.m. The last date to join this workshop is March 14, 2022.
