PALS Course Description

This course is designed in accordance with the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines to teach the knowledge and skills necessary to provide pediatric advanced life support. Participants must be proficient in BLS Healthcare Provider skills.

The PALS Provider Course is a two-day course limited to healthcare providers who serve the pediatric population and are taking the course for the first time or whose PALS certification has expired.

The PALS Renewal Course is a one-day course for those who have a current PALS Provider card.  The East Texas PALS Program requires that LVNs take the 2-day provider course, and strongly encourages all healthcare providers that do not routinely utilize their PALS training to take the provider course.

The PALS HeartCode Renewal Course is a partial day renewal course.  Participants must complete all of the online part 1 components prior to attending this live component.  Live part 2 consists of the required skills check offs as well as case scenario.  Class size limited.  The East Texas PALS Program strongly encourages all healthcare providers that do not routinely utilize their PALS training to attend a live course.

**Purchase of the American Heart Association (AHA) PALS HeartCode part 1 Access Key is the responsibility of the participant and not included in the fee.

This course will cover extensive material in a short time.
