Pediatric Grand Rounds

Pediatric Grand Rounds is an educational forum on pediatric issues for physicians, nurses, and allied health care professionals and is a cooperative effort between UT Health East Texas and Christus Trinity Mother Frances. This one hour program is generally held the 3rd Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon. A complimentary light luncheon is served. The location rotates between the hospitals.

Objectives: At the end of this presentation, participants should have increased information to recognize children with a high probability of PANS or PANDAS syndrome, evaluate the evidential basis for treatment, discuss new empathy for the suffering endured by afflicted families, assess cultural diversity issues in risk, incidence, prevalence, disease burden, or mortality associated with PANDAS and/or cultural disparities in access, diagnosis at more advanced stages, or less adherence to treatment regimens.
