Dr. Karaki is one of our internal medicine experts and one of four UT Health physicians who have been nationally recognized for providing excellent care to people with diabetes. Our patients have benefited from his knowledgeable and experienced care for more than 15 years.
Sunita Karki is an advanced practice registered nurse at our North Tyler Clinic. Ms. Karki enjoys talking with her patients about their health concerns and finding solutions through prevention, promotion, and treatment. This type of involvement allows her to teach patients about healthy choices and goals. With her focus on prevention, she takes special interest in treating diabetes care, hypertension, and high cholesterol.
Dr. Shaadi Khademi is an expert occupational and environmental medicine physician. Dr. Khademi joined the faculty in July 2017 as assistant professor after completing her training in the Occupational Medicine Residency Program here at UT Health, where she served as the chief resident. She has a background in internal medicine and clinical research in dermatology. Her special interests in medicine include occupational skin diseases, preventive medicine, and patient education. She is also fluent in Spanish and Persian. Dr. Khademi enjoys resident teaching and is committed to ensuring the health of employees and their work environments.

Mustapha Khalife, MD is a medical oncologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine. His special interests in medical oncology include breast cancer, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Dr. Khalife is dedicated to making a difference in patient lives by providing compassionate care. Before a treatment plan is developed, Dr. Khalife starts by getting to know his patients on a personal level. This leads to a true connection between physician and patient during very challenging times.
With over half a century of experience in the medical field, Dr. Richard Kronenberg has had an extensive career treating patients and also serving in leadership roles at medical institutions, including UT Health. In the clinic, he helps his pulmonary patients breathe better. His area of expertise is treating asbestosis and he has a special interest in occupational lung diseases. Dr. Kronenberg enjoys getting to know his patients so they can work together to come up with a treatment plan.

Sarah Kuruvilla is a family medicine doctor who provides care for all ages at our University Health Clinic. It was Dr. Kuruvilla’s dream to become a physician; she completed her family medicine residency here at UT Health Science Center where she was the Chief Resident. Dr. Kuruvilla has a special interest in global health, medical missions, and community outreach. With compassion and care, she works alongside her patients to encourage lifelong health by making healthy choices while also helping them (and their family) take control of their health.
