The President’s Scholarship is awarded to second-year students who achieved a 4.0 GPA during their first year of full-time, consecutive enrollment in either the MHA, MPH, or MS in Biotechnology degree programs. The award covers the full cost of the student’s tuition and fees (not to exceed 24 credit hours) during his or her second year of full-time study at HSC. Presidential Scholars are recognized at commencement and presented with an honors cord for their academic achievements.
In order to be eligible for the President’s Scholarship, a student must:
- Enroll in a HSC graduate degree program for the first time beginning Fall 2019 or later.
- Maintain full-time, consecutive enrollment (minimum 9 credit hours per regular semester or 6 credit hours per summer semester) for the first three semesters of enrollment (fall, spring, and summer semesters included). Courses graded on a pass/fail grading scale will not count toward the required number of credit hours.
- Maintain a 4.0 cumulative GPA during the first three consecutive semesters of enrollment.
- If awarded, begin the second year of study immediately following the first year, and continue to maintain full-time, consecutive enrollment (minimum 9 credit hours per regular semester or 6 credit hours per summer semester).
No application is necessary. Eligible students will be notified if they are selected for this award.
